Archbishop calls for prayers after Supertyphoon Ragasa devastates Asia

Archbishop Ryan Jimenez is calling on the faithful to keep the people of the Philippines, Taiwan, Southern China, and other parts of Asia in their prayers following the devastation of Supertyphoon Ragasa.
The powerful storm, with winds reaching up to 177 miles per hour, left at least 14 people dead in Taiwan and three in the Philippines. 2 million residents were evacuated in Southern China, and officials report widespread flooding and destruction in Hong Kong and Macau.
The archbishop reminded island residents that Guam and the Marianas know firsthand the destruction caused by storms of this magnitude. He urged prayers for those who have perished, for grieving families, and for the safety of the poor and most vulnerable impacted by Ragasa.
