The Guam Department of Agriculture invites the public to a special community event, “Your Path, Our Mission,” on Saturday, Sept. 20, from  4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Micronesia Mall Center Court. 

This free event offers residents the chance to learn more about the Department’s programs,  initiatives, and services that support Guam’s agriculture, animal health, aquaculture, biosecurity, fisheries, forestry, and wildlife. 

Attendees can explore areas such as: 

  • Program coordination with hunter education, aquaculture, and DAWR program administration 
  • Biological coordination in coral reef education, outreach, restoration, and monitoring 
  • Forestry support through aide and field work
  • Biosecurity and agriculture through inspection, monitoring, and response 
  • Guidance in animal control, aquaculture, and fisheries activities 
  • Wildlife and marine resource biology and monitoring
  • Technical assistance with permitting, invasive species response, and resource protection 

“We are excited to open our mission to the community and share the many ways people can be  part of protecting Guam’s natural resources and strengthening our island’s food security,” said 

Chelsa Muña, Director of Guam Department of Agriculture. “Whether your passion is in the ocean, the forest, or the farm, there is a pathway for you with the Department of Agriculture.” 

No registration is required, and QR codes will be available at the event for more information and to indicate areas of interest.
