Meet the chefs behind the flavors at Crowne Plaza Resort Guam

Crowne Plaza Resort Guam opens a new culinary chapter led by its talented chef team, introducing enhanced flavors across its restaurant and bars.
The resort will be hosting a three-night ‘Chefs’ Table’ from Sept. 25 to Sept. 27, 2025 at The Terrace, sharing an opportunity for guests to meet the master chefs, enjoy their enhanced flavors, and share feedback as the team continues to shape the dining experience.
Leading the dynamic chef team of the resort, Executive Chef Leland Feng, an award-winning chef with over 40 years of international experience.
Known for his leadership at renowned properties such as the former ANA, Pacific Star Hotel and Marriott, Resort & Spa in Guam and San Francisco, where Chef Leland has built a career portfolio around excellence in both international and specialty cuisines.
Including a mastery of dim sum and fine dining.
“Sharing culture through food has always been a great way to bring people together, and this is something I always try to blend with my dishes as a way to celebrate Guam’s melting pot of diversity and the places I’ve been,” said Feng.
Chef de Cuisine, Rey Dasalla with over three decades of culinary leadership across Guam, Hawaii, and Japan, Chef Rey has worked kitchens at resorts including Dusit Thani, Hotel Nikko, PIC and Sea Grill.
An award-winning chef celebrated for elevating guest experiences, blending Asian-Pacific influences with a passion for fresh local ingredients and elevating the diners’ experience.
Sous Chef, Simon Utagon, brings more than a decade of experience as Chef de Partie at Pacific Islands Club, where he honed his skills in high-volume service, banquet dining, and precise kitchen operations.
Known for his consistency, and ability to balance efficiency with flavor, Chef Simon adds depth and reliability to the team.
Together, this dynamic trio blends expertise, passion, and innovation, inviting guests to go beyond expectation to come and enjoy the enhanced flavors across restaurant and bars of Crowne Plaza Resort.

“The Chefs’ Table” evenings will allow guests to engage with the culinary team and enjoy the flavors the trio have been perfecting.
