Department of Corrections inmate and three others accused in major meth trafficking case

A shocking federal indictment ties a convicted murderer and three others to a drug trafficking ring accused of smuggling pounds of methamphetamine to Guam through the mail.
Recently unsealed court documents name inmate Edward Glen Demapan, along with Alan Dale Bernal, Liana Jolene Cabrera, and Zerxes Jabidando Viva.
They’re charged with conspiracy and attempted possession of more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.
Investigators say Demapan, behind bars at DOC since 1995 for murder, used contraband cell phones to coordinate shipments with co-conspirators in Texas.
DOC agents, working with U.S. postal inspectors, uncovered more than six pounds of 99% pure meth linked to the group.
All four have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
