Preventative maintenance outage scheduled for areas in Barrigada

The Guam Power Authority announced that a preventative maintenance outage affecting a portion of Barrigada will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The outage will affect customers in East Sunset Boulevard, West Sunset Boulevard (Punzalan Street), Central Avenue, First Street, Second Street, Third Street, Fourth Street, Captain Road, and surrounding areas.

Other customers affected include PCR Environmental, Island Honey Bee, TG Engineers and Corner Stone Valuation.

GPA would like to note that this is an on-going project for the next few weeks. GPA line crew will be replacing wooden poles with concrete poles in this area. 

GPA will release an outage announcement for every scheduled occurrence.

What can I do?

• If you have a generator, make sure your main breaker is in the open position for the safety of our line crew.
• Have a plan for alternate power source for electrical medical equipment.
• Charge all cell phones.
• Minimize opening refrigerator and freezer doors during the outage.
