The U.S. Department of Labor is giving states and territories, including Guam, more time to resolve Pandemic Unemployment Assistance overpayment cases.

Guam’s Dept. of Labor says USDOL plans to extend all active cares act grants to Dec. 31, 2025.

The extension will allow Guam to continue collecting PUA overpayments while providing claimants extra time to work out repayment or seek waivers.

GDOL is sending overpayment notices to 842 PUA recipients, part of its ongoing federal compliance efforts.

Director David Dell’isola says the process is happening nationwide and encourages claimants not to panic, but to contact GDOL to discuss options.

The agency offers flexible payment plans, waivers where eligible, and other solutions.
