After 9 hours of deliberation, jury finds Jathan Tedtaotao guilty

A Superior Court jury has found Jathan Pangelinan Tedtaotao guilty of attempted murder, kidnapping, and multiple counts of aggravated assault, verdicts that could put him behind bars for 75 years.
After more than a week of testimony and nine hours of deliberation, jurors sided with prosecutors, who said Tedtaotao—along with his siblings Jeromy Moe and Shaenita Pangelinan—kidnapped, zip-tied, and shot Michael Blas in Yigo last April.
Prosecutors told the jury that the attack began when Blas was woken up at a friend’s home, then ambushed, punched with brass knuckles, fired at, and forced into a car.
Blas testified he complied out of fear for his life.
While the defense claimed another sibling pulled the trigger, the jury convicted Tedtaotao on all charges. His siblings will face separate trials.
The Attorney General’s Office says it will seek the maximum sentence.
