Citadel Pacific 2025 tests Naval Base Guam’s defense readiness

U.S. Naval Base Guam just wrapped-up a week of high-intensity training—part of a region-wide security drill, Citadel Pacific 2025.
From July 28 to August 1, Navy Security Forces at Naval Base Guam, along with support teams like Joint Region Marianas Fire, emergency services, and public affairs, simulated real-world threats to test their readiness and response.
Installation training officer Jeffrey Gee says the drills help sharpen both front-line defense and back-end support, calling it crucial to maintaining mission readiness.
Security Officer Lieutenant Matthew Harrington praised the professionalism of the team, adding that the exercise gives commanders confidence that their forces are ready for any threat, internal or external.
While the scenarios were fictional, the mission was clear: stay sharp, stay prepared.
