Vince Yatar unable to make court plea for murder due to hospitalization

A man accused of stabbing his wife to death was a no-show in court Thursday — because he's been hospitalized. Vince Yatar was scheduled to enter a plea to first-degree murder charges in the death of Diana Rose Lagman, but never appeared before Magistrate Judge Sean Brown.
Yatar was supposed to join via Zoom from the department of corrections — instead, a corrections officer told the judge Yatar is currently being housed at Guam Memorial Hospital.
With no word on how long he'll be there, Judge Brown issued a penal summons. Even if Yatar had shown up — he wouldn’t have been able to answer to the charges — his court-appointed lawyers from the Public Defender’s Office have filed to withdraw from the case.
