The Office of Guam Homeland Security and Civil Defense (GHS-OCD), in coordination with the Mariana Regional Fusion Center (MRFC), is alerting the community to a scam Facebook page titled “Government Grants Support Program.” The page is falsely advertising tax-free grant opportunities while using local imagery, including the GHS-OCD logo, to appear legitimate. Authorities have reported the fraudulent page to the proper channels.

The public is urged not to interact with, share, or provide any personal information through the page.

Stay vigilant and protect yourself by following these tips:

Never share personal or financial details in response to unsolicited messages.

Be cautious of imposters pretending to be government officials or charities.

Beware of spoofed local numbers and verify legitimacy through trusted sources.

Search online for reviews or scam reports about suspicious messages or calls.

Avoid paying upfront fees for promised loans, prizes, or jobs.

Use secure payment methods, and remember that legitimate agencies won’t ask for money via wire transfer.

Talk to someone you trust before taking action—scammers rely on urgency and fear.

Report suspicious activity to the Mariana Regional Fusion Center at (671) 475-0400 or mrfc@ghs.guam.gov.
If you see something, say something. Your report could help stop a scam in progress.
