Guam Premier Outlets shooting suspect indicted, arraignment delayed

A man accused of gunning down another in the Guam Premier Outlets parking lot has been indicted, but still hasn’t entered a plea.
Gregory Romero was arrested last month after allegedly shooting Keo Resse Cruz Taianao ten times during a viral altercation near Ross Dress for Less.
Court documents say Romero was found performing CPR on Taianao, then admitted to the shooting and identified his own handgun near the victim’s body.
A grand jury returned a true bill on June 12, indicting Romero on charges of aggravated murder and assault, with special allegations of using a deadly weapon.
He remains behind bars on a million-dollar cash bail and faces life in prison without parole if convicted. Romero was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday but the hearing was postponed after his attorney failed to appear on Zoom.
