YoCrunch Yogurt recall: plastic contamination prompts warning

The Department of Public Health and Social Services is alerting the community to a voluntary recall of select YoCrunch Yogurt products—after plastic pieces were reportedly found in the dome toppers.
Danone US, the maker of YoCrunch, issued the recall following three consumer complaints, prompting an investigation by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
Locally, Guam's Division of Environmental Health confirmed that the affected batches were sold at Happy Mart locations in Barrigada and Tamuning. The stores have already pulled the products off shelves and are working with the manufacturer to return or properly dispose of them.
Public Health urges consumers not to eat the yogurt and to return any affected products for a full refund.
No illnesses have been reported on island, but anyone experiencing symptoms after consuming YoCrunch is encouraged to contact their doctor.
