Summer interns leave their mark at Guam Airport with symbolic latte art

It’s a bold burst of color and culture greeting travelers at the Guam Airport — and it’s the handiwork of our island’s future leaders. The 2025 Guam Summer Youth Employment Program interns with the A.B. Won Pat International Airport Authority proudly unveiled their very first group project — an 8' wooden latte stone transformed into a stunning photo backdrop.
Titled "Making Our Mark Together," the original artwork blends aviation, local flora, and tribal motifs — all designed, sketched, and painted by the 37 summer interns. Each handprint and signature is a symbol of teamwork, creativity, and community spirit.
With special recognition for summer interns Mia Iglesias and Noah Castro, the project not only beautifies the east ticket lobby, but also stands as a proud symbol of what Guam’s youth can achieve.
Airport executive manager John Quinata praised the interns’ extraordinary talent, saying their collaboration captured the true spirit of public service.
It’s more than just art — it’s a legacy.
