Guam’s Department of Labor is making a final push to support the island’s manamko’.

The Senior Community Service Employment Program, or SCSEP, is now accepting up to 30 new participants, but this could be the last year the program is offered.

With federal funding on the chopping block, GDOL is calling on eligible island residents, age 55 and older, unemployed, and income-qualified, to apply while slots are still available.

SCSEP offers part-time, paid training with local government and nonprofits, helping older adults gain skills, confidence, and income while supporting Guam’s communities.

Director David Dell’Isola says this is a “last opportunity to make a real difference.”

Governor Lou Leon Guerrero and Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio are urging residents to make this final year count.

To apply or refer someone, contact GDOL’s SCSEP team at 475-7000/1 or email dorothy.gutierrez@dol.guam.gov.
