University of Guam launches unified “Land Grant” identity to strengthen access to agriculture and life skills resources

A new name, logo, and direction are bringing fresh visibility to the University of Guam’s longstanding work in agriculture and community resiliency.
UOGis rolling out “UOG Land Grant” as a unifying name for its agriculture, food, and family life programs, making them easier for the public to recognize and access.
The name comes with a new logo featuring taro, symbolizing rootedness and growth.
The initiative combines three divisions: The UOG Aginnovation Research Center, UOG Extension, and CNAS’s academic programs in agriculture and life sciences.
The goal is to help more islanders build skills in gardening, cooking, sustainability, youth development, and more.
