Summer Youth interns launch islandwide school supply drive for Guam’s youth in need

Participants in the Governor’s Summer Youth Employment Program have launched a donation drive to help young people in need start the school year with essentials.
From notebooks and hygiene kits to clothing and school supplies, the drive aims to support nonprofit partners like Sanctuary, Inc., Harvest House, and the Department of Youth Affairs.
Donations will be accepted from July 16 through July 18 at all GovGuam agencies and the Guam State Clearinghouse in Adelup.
Lieutenant Governor Josh Tenorio praised the effort, saying it reflects both compassion and leadership from Guam’s next generation.
It’s all part of a six-week program that gives teens a firsthand look at public service and a powerful way to give back.
