He’s accused of leading a violent crime spree that shocked the island, and now Jeromy Moe John Pangelinan is pleading not guilty.  The 27-year-old appeared via Zoom from the Department of Corrections, facing charges in 11 separate cases, including kidnapping, shootings, carjackings, and weapons offenses.

Pangelinan was arrested in April after a high-speed chase and a shootout with Guam Police in Dededo. He was hospitalized, then taken into custody, where he remains.

Authorities say he didn’t act alone. His brother and sister, Jathan Tedtaotao and Shaenita Pangelinan, are also facing felony charges. The three are accused in a series of violent attacks, including an April 2 kidnapping and shooting in Yigo, now linked to multiple crimes across the island.

In court, Pangelinan asserted his right to a speedy trial. A jury trial has been granted, and the case is now headed to Judge Arthur Barcinas.

Prosecutors say the investigation is ongoing and the indictments remain open.
