Public Health expands behavioral health services with return of licensed psychologist

The Department of Public Health and Social Services, through it’s Guam Community Health Centers announced the return of licensed psychologist Dr. Mamie Campbell Balajadia.
Dr. Balajadia has officially resumed providing behavioral health services at both the Northern and Southern Regional Community Health Centers.
She is now seeing patients for mental health and substance use care, helping expand access to critical behavioral health services across the island.
“Behavioral health is the foundation of our community’s wellbeing,” said DPHSS Director, Theresa C. Arriola. “With Dr. Balajadia’s return, GCHC expands access to critical mental health and addiction services. Her presence at both sites ensures more patients can receive culturally grounded, evidence-based care close to home.”
Dr. Balajadia joins a growing behavioral health team alongside social worker Shirley Untalan and nurse practitioner Maureen Tang. Their work is supported by the Behavioral Health Expansion Grant, which allows DPHSS to enhance services to meet the community’s growing needs.
The Guam Community Health Centers accept all insurance and provide services to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, ensuring accessible care for all island residents.
