The victim of Tuesday's fatal shooting at the Guam Premier Outlets has been identified as Keo Reese Cruz Taiano.

As KUAM reported, the violent incident happened around 10 p.m. in the parking lot of GPO.

Shooting suspect, Gregory Romero, allegedly shot Taiano ten times.

The case is now being investigated as a homicide, as Romero faces charges of aggravated murder as a first degree felony and aggravated assault as a second degree felony, both with special allegations of possession or use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony.

Meantime, there’s been an outpour of messages and condolences from those who knew Taiano, with social media linking him to the Guam National Guard.

KUAM reached out to the guard for a statement regarding Taiano’s passing.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson with GPO also told KUAM, “This was a tragic event and we offer our prayers for all involved.”

Prosecutors are seeking $1 million cash bail and pretrial confinement for Romero, calling him a danger to the community.
