An arrest of a man leads to eight cases being closed

A major arrest is helping Guam police close the books on eight open cases.
On May 30, officers with the Tumon-Tamuning precinct spotted a stolen vehicle outside Denny’s in Tamuning and a man nearby acting suspiciously.
That man was identified as 33-year-old Jonathan Philip Meno Mantanona.
Officers quickly learned he had three active felony warrants and was a suspect in several ongoing investigations.
A search revealed suspected crystal methamphetamine, and Mantanona was taken into custody.
He now faces a long list of charges, including theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, theft of property, and illegal possession and manufacturing of a controlled substance.
Mantanona has been booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. His case is now with the Attorney General’s Office.
