Man arrested for kidnapping, terrorizing, and assault charges

A man is charged with two counts of kidnapping with a special allegation of possession or use of a deadly weapon, terrorizing as a third-degree felony, and misdemeanor assault charges
According to a complaint filed May 25, the victim was lured to a home, where he was allegedly attacked by 31-year old Kevin Lane Manglona Alvarez.
Police say Alvarez accused the man of owing money, beat him, and pointed a gun at his head and threatened to kill him.
The suspect then forced the man into his own vehicle at gunpoint, driving across the island with the victim trapped in the backseat. At one stop in Yigo, a woman reportedly told Alvarez the man didn’t owe anything.
But the threats continued.
Back in Sinajana, the victim managed to unlock the child safety lock, escape the car, and flee to safety.
The next day, police found Alvarez and his companion in the stolen vehicle.
She confirmed much of the victim’s story and said she had no idea Alvarez planned the attack.
