The Guam Department of Education is proud to announce that Inalåhan Elementary School passed its annual sanitation inspection conducted by Public Health with a “B” rating with 15 demerits. 

This is a notable improvement from the last inspection of a “C” rating with 28 demerits.

The significant progress has been made possible by the united efforts and dedication of all the faculty, staff and stakeholders. 

Principal Michael Perez said, “On behalf of the Chiefs, we would like to extend sincere gratitude to our faculty, staff, students, stakeholders, Mr. Derrick Santos, our neighboring staff at IMS, GDOE F&M, Mayor Anthony Chargualaf and his staff, Senator Chris Barnett, Mr. Walter Sternigale, Mr. Shaun and Maria Leon Guerrero, Ms. Georgette Quidachay, Mr. Mike Diego, Ms. Rosalie Bongato and the Burgos family for your unwavering commitment, hard work, and time invested in ensuring that our school received a passing grade in the recent annual building sanitary inspection. This achievement is a direct result of your dedication and attention to detail throughout the process.”

Their improved rating acknowledges the progress taken, which reflects the school’s dedication to meeting the safety and health standards and making the necessary improvements.

“Congratulations to Inalåhan Elementary School for meeting a high standard of success. Your collective efforts in addressing the various requirements from your last inspections and meeting all areas of the standards have been instrumental in this success,” said GDOE Superintendent Dr. Swanson.
