A man already facing charges in a deadly 2024 shooting is back behind bars, this time, in a drug case.

Forty-six-year-old Darryl Wayne Cundiff, one of three people arrested in connection to the murder of Joshua Taitague in Talo’fo’fo’, is now facing fresh charges after a Sunday morning traffic stop.

According to a magistrate’s complaint, police say Cundiff was driving without a license and hadn’t had a valid one since 2022.

When officers searched his vehicle, they found a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue.

Cundiff was out on pre-trial release in the Taitague homicide case. While he’s not accused of pulling the trigger, prosecutors say he supplied the gun used in the fatal shooting.

That weapon, investigators say, had been hidden in the jungle for years before being passed along.

With a prior felony record and new drug charges stacked against him, Cundiff could now face up to five years in prison if convicted.

Judge Jonathan Quan has ordered him held on $5,000 cash bail.
