The Guam National Guard paused Friday morning to remember and honor the sacrifices of our fallen heroes.

Service members, families, and leaders gathered at the Barrigada Readiness Complex for the Guard’s annual fallen heroes ceremony.

This year’s keynote speaker, Lt. Colonel Joey San Nicolas, delivered a powerful message, encouraging them to honor their fallen brothers and sisters by continuing the fight.

He said, “But sharing them today is important because remembering them isn’t just about history. It’s about presence. It’s about carrying forward their spirit, their honor, and their legacy.”
