Man on felony release arrested for attempted kidnapping

A man is recovering after a violent confrontation in Mongmong that led to the arrest of Cameron Jose Guerrero.
According to court documents, just after midnight on April 22, the man gave Guerrero's girlfriend a ride to her friend’s house.
But at the door, he was confronted by Guerrero, who accused him of having an affair and pointed a pistol at him.
Guerrero allegedly beat the man, demanded money, and when he refused, took his car keys instead. Guerrero then forced him outside, opened the trunk, and ordered him inside, but the man escaped when Guerrero was distracted, hiding at an abandoned home.
The next morning, the victim found his car, but the keys were gone.
Fearing retaliation, he reported the incident. Investigators documented facial injuries, including bruising and a hematoma.
Guerrero was arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping as a first-degree felony and attempted robbery as a second-degree felony both on felony on felony release.
He was also charged with attempted theft by threatening, reckless conduct, and assault all as misdemeanors.
