The Guam Police Department has provided an update into a fatal crash at the intersection of Route 16 and Bello Road. 

It was around 3 a.m. Sunday when a car heading down to Bello Road struck the retaining wall of the overpass, catching fire shortly after. 

After units with the Guam Fire Department put out the fire, they identified a male driver who was transported to the Guam Memorial Hospital. 

He will not be identified until the Chief Medical Examiner report is completed and his next of kin have been contacted. 

GPD continues to keep the case open.
