Talofofo Elementary School Tigers let out one last roar to remember

Today, the Tigers of Talofofo Elementary turned the page on their final chapter, celebrating the end of elementary school and the start of a new journey into middle school. It was a proud moment not just for students and their families, but for their amazing teachers, who we celebrate this week and beyond!
KUAM got a front row seat as the graduates let out one last roar to remember.
After years of writing their stories, the 5th grade class at Talofofo Elementary School turned their final page, celebrating the end of one chapter with a heartwarming graduation ceremony friday. For graduate Macen Aguon, it’s a bittersweet goodbye, leaving behind familiar hallways, cherished friendships, and the comfort of home, as he prepares to write his next chapter in middle school.
Asked if he's excited or nervous for middle school, he said, “Nervous”, adding, “because I don’t want to leave my school.” still, he said he's always excited for a new adventure ahead of him.
Fellow Tiger Terrence Guerrero is also looking forward to what’s next, but carries the wisdom of what he’s learned along the way, sharing the lessons, “Be safe, be respectful, and always be responsible.”
Those words echo in the heart of classmate Alameao Linger, who says it’s the people, not just the lessons, that made her time unforgettable. “Everyone at my school was nice, and they treated you with respect. They’re really great people, said Linger.
And behind every one of these graduates are dedicated educators, like Tiger teachers Cecilia Guzman and Gavin Diego, who poured their hearts into helping these young minds grow. Their words and wisdom will continue to shape these students long after they leave the classroom.
Guerrero said, “If you believe you can do it, you can," with Aguon sharing, “Be respectful, safe, and make good decisions.”
