No resolution in sight as Attorney General pushes forward on “Dignity Project”

The Office of the Attorney General and Adelup remain in a stalemate over the OAG’s Dignity Project.
As you may recall, the program seeking to provide shelter, hot meals, and a bridge to services, was blocked by a temporary restraining order filed by Governor Lou Leon Guerrero last week Friday.
At the time, the Governor’s lawsuit alleged that AG Douglas Moylan broke Guam law in the procurement of the project by moving forward without obtaining her signature, and by securing a contract with the Tropical Palm Hotel, the project's would be hosted, through sole-source procurement.
During a press conference on Monday, the AG urged the governor to call him so they could work through this “hiccup” together.
Most recently, AG Moylan has filed for an expedited briefing and argument in this case.
Supreme Court of Guam Chief Justice Robert Torres has ordered for the Governor to respond to the AG’s motion by noon today.
However, in lieu of an official response, Adelup Communications Director Krystal Paco-San Agustin told KUAM, “The opposition will be filed and served in accordance with the Supreme Court's order.”
