13th annual Back to Sumay Day to be hosted at Naval Base Guam

The 13th annual Back to Sumay Day event will be held at U.S. Naval Base Guam Clipper Landing Park May 10.
The annual event, coordinated with the Sånta Rita-Sumai Mayor’s Office, began in 2010 with the goal of inviting former residents of the pre-World War II village and their descendants back to the site.
It was not held in 2020-2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
A Mass will be held at 11 a.m., followed by a fiesta and entertainment at the Clipper Landing Park.
Former Sumay residents and descendants are also invited to visit the Sumay Cemetery to pay respect to their family members buried at the site.
Residents with ties to Sumay are asked to contact the Sånta Rita-Sumai Mayor’s office at 565- 2514 to arrange access to NBG.
All guests who do not have regular access to the installation must arrange access through the mayor's office prior to the event.
All traffic for Back to Sumay will be welcomed through the NBG front gate
