A 39-year-old man is behind bars after police say he stole a relative's truck — and is now tied to a previous drug possession case.

Jamieson Curtis Carriaga was arrested Tuesday in Agana Heights after officers pulled over a gray Toyota Tundra with expired registration and insurance. During the stop, police say Carriaga gave a false name before revealing his real identity.

Investigators later learned he had an open theft case and took him in for questioning. According to court documents, Carriaga admitted to stealing a black Toyota Tacoma belonging to a family member who was overseas on military duty — saying he took the vehicle to “Check on a girl”.

His arrest also links him to a February incident, where officers say he fled on a motorcycle, crashed, and was later found with bags containing suspected meth and marijuana.

Carriaga is now facing multiple charges, including vehicle theft, drug possession, and resisting arrest.
