Man arrested in Dededo carjacking

The Guam Police Department arrested a 34-year-old man following a carjacking that occurred Sunday morning in Dededo.
According to GPD, AK Atty was taken into custody on suspicion of second-degree robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, and theft of property. The incident happened when a man, while in the driveway of his home, was approached by Atty, who pointed an unknown object at him and ordered him out of his vehicle. Atty then fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.
Officers from the Dededo Precinct responded to the initial report. Later, units from the Central Precinct located the stolen vehicle in Barrigada and apprehended Atty.
Atty was booked and confined at the Department of Corrections.
