The Guam Customs officer facing terrorizing, harassment and stalking charges was forced to hand over his duty weapon.
Defendant Jesse McCarrel is being investigated by the agency after he was arrested on Valentine's Day for allegedly threatening his victim.
Court documents detail the apparent love triangle turned violent after he accused the victim of being in an intimate relationship with a woman known to him.
Guam Customs spokesperson Alana Chargualaf-Afaisen says McCarrel has been on personal leave since the alleged incident.
She adds, "We understand the public’s interest in this concerning matter. However, we are not disclosing details of the ongoing investigation at this time."
McCarrel was released from prison on a $3,000 bond.
