Man allegedly attacks officer while attempting to escape custody

A man with active warrants out for his arrest is back in prison after allegedly attacking a Guam Police officer.

37-year-old John Ryan White is charged with two counts of assault on a peace officer.

Court documents state police pulled white over for driving without a license plate.

It was when he was taken in for questioning that he tried to escape before allegedly punching the officer.

After a brief struggle, he eventually was placed in handcuffs.
