United brings the holiday magic with 13 Fantasy Flight routes to the North Pole

It’s a holiday “claus” for celebration! United Airlines is spreading seasonal cheer with the launch of its newest seasonal hub, the North Pole, and the return of its Fantasy Flights.
These special flights bring the magic of the holidays to life, taking deserving children and their families on a trip to Santa's hometown.
The experience, customized locally, transforms an airport gate or hangar into a winter wonderland.
Children are welcomed by twinkling lights, sparkling trees, and of course, Santa and his elves.
This year, Fantasy Flights will depart from 13 airports, including Guam, Honolulu, Tokyo, and Chicago-O'Hare and more!
United said it’s all about making joyful memories and taking the holiday spirit to new heights.
Here’s a list of other participating airports:
- Honolulu (HNL) - December 5
- Washington-Dulles (IAD) - December 7
- Houston Bush (IAH) - December 7
- Los Angeles (LAX) - December 7

“The team made a list, I checked it twice, and the answer was clear,” said United Executive Vice President Kate Gebo. “With so many deserving children on the nice list, we had to bring the North Pole closer than ever.”
On Guam, the program is celebrating a decade of holiday magic.
United's Sam Shinohara said this year’s flight will include children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation and local special education classes.
United invites everyone to help spread the magic. Donate miles or money through Dec. 31, and United will match contributions to Make-A-Wish up to $500,000.
You can also enjoy a cold brew on your next United flight with proceeds going to Make-A-wish.
