Judiciary to close on Nov. 29 following Governor’s Black Friday executive order
Following a recent executive order from Adelup mandating the closure of all executive branch departments and agencies on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, the Judiciary will also close for the day.
However, the closure does not apply to magistrate hearings and other emergency filings.
“To provide uniformity and equity throughout the Government of Guam and in recognition of the dedication of the employees of the Judiciary of Guam to providing the highest quality of justice services to the people of Guam, it is reasonable to likewise close the Judicial Branch and allow Judiciary of Guam employees to enjoy the spirit of the season,” The order said.
Any filing due on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, shall be deemed timely filed if filed on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024.
