After five years, the Salvation Army's Annual Thanksgiving luncheon is returning to the Chamorro Village in Hagatna.
The holiday event for the island's homeless and other members of the community will take place on Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the pavilion and will feature a Thanksgiving spread that is sure to fill the tummy and hearts of those who stop by.
According to Guam Corps officer Maj. Eric Tumale, in previous years, meals were either boxed and distributed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, or were held elsewhere.
They are excited to bring it back to the heart of Hagatna.
“For us to help more people this year, we would like to invite our friends and our donors to help and assist us....maybe some of you can sponsor a meal, or some of you can bring turkey to cook and other things that can help us make it successful this year,” said Tumale.
If you would like to volunteer your time to prep the meal or help serve, or would like to make a contribution to the thanksgiving luncheon, please call, (671)477-7671.
Again, the salvation army's thanksgiving luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chamorro Village pavilion.
