The Hagatna Cathedral Basilica was filled with family and friends offering their condolences in one of the largest funeral masses ever seen in Guam history at the memorial for beloved civic and government leader, Paul M. Calvo.

Guam's third elected governor, Calvo passed away last week at the age of 90.

To this day, Governor Calvo is cherished as a pioneering businessman with Calvo Enterprises, and chief executive under whose leadership the local government expanded Guam's reach in the 1980s. Throughout his remarkable life, he was a dedicated family man, philanthropist and devout Catholic, and his son Eddie, one of Calvo's eight children, was also a multiple-term senator and governor.

Following today's mass, Governor Calvo was laid to rest in at Our Lady of Peace in Windward Hills.
