The Department of Public Health and Social Services announced on Monday that an outreach medical team from the Shriners Children’s Hawaii will make a stop on Guam to offer consultation services to children up to 17-years-old.

These services are by appointment only with the following conditions:

Orthopedic
Sports Injuries
Healed Burns
Spinal Cord Injuries

The free consultation services will be provided at the DPHSS Northern Region Community Health Center in Dededo from Oct. 23 to Oct. 26, 2024, and Nov. 4 to Nov. 7, 2024.

The Shriners Children’s Hawaii accepts insured and uninsured children. A referral from a physician is not required.

Parents or legal guardians of new patients are required to complete an application form before scheduling an appointment which can be picked up at 155 Hesler Place, Hagatna from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the DPHSS Shriners Children’s Hospital Office.

Parents or legal guardians may also request an application via the emails listed below. They will also need to submit a copy of their child’s birth certificate, parent identification card, and proof of legal guardianship, if applicable.

Returning patients are reminded to obtain x-rays before their appointment, and to bring a copy of the x-ray in CD on the appointment day.

The Physician Order for x-rays can be picked up at the DPHSS Shriners Children’s Hospital Office at Hesler Place, Hagatna, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Additionally, due to limited appointment slots, patients who are not able to secure a schedule will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted once a slot becomes available.
