A transfer of authority ceremony is underway later this week as the Guam National Guard begins its eighth rotation of security forces at the THAAD missile defense site with the Guardian Angels of Task Force Talon.

As KUAM reported, the THAAD, which stands for the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense system, seeks to protect the Indo-Pacific region from any ballistic missile threats.
