Third illegal gambling defendant takes plea deal

Another defendant accused in an alleged gambling scheme has taken a plea deal.
Juanita Capulong is set to admit guilt in the case filed against her in the District Court of Guam.
She the latest defendant to take a deal in the case.
The indictment also named Michael Marasigan, Jose "Art” Chan Jr, Christine Chan, and Richard Brown.
Co-defendants Minda San Nicolas and Alfredo Leon Guerrero have since admitted guilt for their roles.
As KUAM News reported, the charges include conspiracy to operate an illegal gambling business and money laundering.
Prosecutors alleged the group operated an illegal gambling business using the name "Guam Shrine Club" and its Hafa Adai Bingo's nonprofit status and bingo permits to avoid getting caught by law enforcement.
Capulong is set to appear in federal court on Tuesday.
