Three people who admitted to their roles in an illegal scheme that involved upwards of $130,000 recently learned their fates in the District Court of Guam.

Luella Jao, a Senior Manager of Sales at Alupang Beach Club was sentenced to two years in the Bureau of Prisons.

Co-defendants, Saori Jao, a Reservations Agent at ABC, and Joshua Jao each got six months in prison.

As KUAM reported, the investigation involved the local marine sports tour company.

The feds uncovered the two ABC workers devised a scheme to obtain cash commission from customers who booked reservations directly with ABC and not through an independent sales agent. They would split the cash.

The scheme occurred between January 2015 and April 2019.

The trio are scheduled to appear back in court on Oct. 21.
