Marunda Defense Services plans to hire Guam workforce

Marunda Defense Services may be a new face on Guam, but it's an established company out of Singapore. The firm offers engineering services for maintenance and repair of surface fleet ships for the U.S. Navy.
Marunda's new local operation held a launch event at the Hilton to detail their scope and how they're hiring local talent for a large amount of projects. Director of business development Michael Little told KUAM News, "We think that there's an ecosystem here that we can hire from. And a story point is that we believe can hire good people. Whether they're trained or not, we'll tsake care of that. Hire good people, motivated people, and talented people – we'll take care of the training.
"And we want to crate an environment where people can join the company, progress through the company, raise their families and stay on Guam."
Marunda is already in talks with the Trades Academy to provide talent.
