Due to needed system improvements, Guam Power Authority is conducting preventive maintenance to avoid future outages in the village of Dededo.
The outage is set for Friday, Aug. 30, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Kayden Edward G. Untalan and Biradan Matthew located in Paradise Estates.
In most cases, the job can be done with no impact to customers; however, sometimes the power needs to be shut off in order for the crews to work safely.
If you have a generator, make sure your main breaker is in the open position for the safety of our line crew.
Have a plan for alternate power source for electrical medical equipment and charge all cell phones.
Minimize opening refrigerator and freezer doors during the outage.
For power emergencies, please contact GPA Power systems control center (PSCC) Dispatch at (671) 475-1472/3/4.
