Marcial A. Sablan Elementary School has successfully passed the Department of Public Health and Social Services sanitation inspection.

Achieving a grade of 33, which corresponds to a 'C' rating, indicates a satisfactory level of sanitation that meets the required standards. The inspection process took place over an extensive period from July 30 to Aug. 7, 2024.

The Guam Department of Education recognizes the efforts of all involved in upholding the health and safety protocols that are crucial for educational institutions.

GDOE Superintendent Dr. Erik Swanson commended the team's collective efforts in achieving a successful outcome, highlighting the dedication and hard work of all involved.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining the same level of commitment and teamwork as the focus shifts to addressing the items outlined in the report.

Swanson expressed confidence that the remaining challenges will be met with the same vigor and excellence, thanks to the team's proven track record.

“This summer the STARS stakeholders came together and made a significant impact in preparing the school to receive students for this upcoming school year. Our students are incredibly fortunate to have a community willing to volunteer their time and put in some hard work in order to meet their educational needs,” acting Principal, Neldie Pendon-Limtiaco, M. Ed. said.
