The Guam Department of Education has taken steps towards fostering leadership and professional growth with its Leadership Academy training initiative held at the GDOE Tiyan headquarters.

The training began on July 29 and concludes today, July 31.

This initiative acts as a platform for leaders from various backgrounds to engage in collaborative learning by bringing together Central Office division heads, school administrators, and other key personnel.

Through interactive sessions and knowledge exchange, attendees will not only enhance their own skills but also contribute to the collective growth of the educational community.

This commitment to shared learning and continuous improvement reflects the very essence of educational excellence and leadership.

GDOE Superintendent Dr. Erik Swanson emphasized the importance of continuous professional development training for educators. He also highlighted that such training is essential not only for learning new techniques but also for fostering camaraderie among educators.

The Leadership Academy is an inclusive platform that also welcomes Elementary, Middle, and High School Administrators, along with other Central Office Division Heads, fostering  a collaborative environment for educational leadership and excellence.
