On Friday evening, 28 men and women were pinned by loved ones, officially making each and every one of them, an officer with the Guam Police Department.

The officers make up the 14th cycle, the largest cohort in 26 years. This comprises 11 women, making this the largest number of women in a cycle ever.

During a ceremony at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort, the new GPD officers were praised for their hard work and determination since their journey began in November 2023, and their overall passion to serve and protect the people of Guam.

The class valedictorian was Caleb Nesmith.

The graduation and addition is much needed as it breathes life into GPD, which has been dealing with a shortage of manpower.
