Barrigada named top village float; GIAA, Palau Assoc., Cabras Marine also winners

A much-anticipated Liberation Parade was held today in Hagatna, attended by thousands all along the route that ended at the statue of Chief Quipuha, with many of the participants showcasing their designs skills in the annual float competition. And the top village float didn't have to travel too far back, as Barrigada was named tops in the Village Category.
In the GovGuam Category, the Guam International Airport Authority took top honors, with the Palauan Community Association of Guam winning the Non-Government/Civic/Community/Non-Profit Category, and Cabras Marine Corporation named the winner for the Business Category.
Floats were judged on the basis of design, construction, effects, and capturing the theme of this year's Liberation day celebration, “Todu i Tiempo i Pås Para Hita” (“Peace for us always”).
Congratulations to all the amazing floats that participated!
