Guam Department of Education rolls out Operation STEM 2024 Summer Events

A mission to learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The Guam Department of Education, in collaboration with the Missle Defense Agency and the United States Armed Forces, kicked off Operation Stem 2024 Thursday at Southern High School with over 230 GDOE elementary school students.
To foster a passion for STEM, the kids participated in "pre-field day" and "post-field day" activities like straw and water rockets and high-altitude balloon launches.
George Washington High School students also participated in STEM activities last Friday.
And in case you missed out on the operation, there's still time to get in on the action with future sessions slated for both Guam DOE elementary and middle school students this month:
Okkodo High School:
- July 2
- July 3
Tiyan High School:
- July 8
- July 9
The public is invited to three community STEM days at the Micronesia Mall:
Saturday, June 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday, July 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
