2024 Pride Forum held at the Guam Museum

The Office of the Governor and Equality Guam hosted the 2024 Pride Forum: Unity in Diversity at the Guam Museum on June 27, 2024.
The forum had two panels consisting of ten panelists from various backgrounds including lawyers, educators, and community leaders. The panelists spoke on their personal experiences being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community or an ally.
“Since coming out it’s been one of my dreams to one day come home and advocate for our island's LGBTQIA, to create a space for us to learn, laugh, and grow. To leave our island better than how we’ve found it. This evening I find in this room that my dream isn’t mine alone to hold. It’s shared with many that you’ve seen throughout this month advocating for our youth, working to celebrate our community, and honoring those that have been here before us,” said Equality Guam President, Jay Sanchez.
“Pride isn’t one thing. Pride isn’t a person. It isn't a gender. It isn’t a specific orientation. Pride was born from an uprising at Stonewall, and it will continue to thrive so long as it has its community backing it. We are here. We are not going anywhere. We will never fail or fall. Give up or give in. We are love and we spread love,” he added.
