A central village on edge after a shootout during a police chase in the late evening. The shooting resulted in three people being sent to prison.

A viral video showed Guam police following a dark colored Sedan with multiple gunshots firing off as the driver attempted to get away.

Now, those three inside the car are facing serious charges including one for attempted murder.

The chase came to an end after the driver crashed the car in Chalan Pago.

Police said it all started after a burglary was reported at this neighborhood store next to George Washington High School.

Twenty-year-old Ethan Aguero was arrested on suspicion of burglary, attempted murder, and gun related charges.

Twenty-year-old Vicente Aguero was arrested on suspicion of burglary and destruction of evidence.

And the alleged driver, 18-year-old Kawai’i-lei Mendiola, was arrested on suspicion of reckless conduct, eluding a police officer and burglary to name a few.

“We are very concerned and we are surprised that thing is happening in our community and we are also concerned about the rise in a lot of these armed robberies. I'm very glad and fortunate that nobody was hurt or seriously injured along with any of our constituents on any sides of the streets while this was taking place,” said Mangilao Mayor Allan Ungacta.

An internal affairs investigation against the officers involved in the shooting is also underway.

Late this afternoon, all three co-defendants appeared before a magistrate judge in Superior Court.

Ethan Aguero, Vicente Aguero, and Kawai’i-lei Mendiola are each charged with burglary.

The judge set bail for Ethan and Mendiola at $5,000.

Vincente, who also remains held in DOC, had his hearing continued to a later date.
